Islands of Burano and Murano, Venezia, Italy
December 29, 2016
Complete your Venetian experience as you go to the other islands of the Venetian Lagoon! It was indeed a sad part for us that we weren’t able to go to islands like Torcello, but we’re lucky to be able to step on the beautiful islands of Murano and Burano.
If you want to treat yourself with Italy’s famous Murano glasses and other jewelries, then it will be best for you to go to Murano (we don’t have much itinerary for this for we only stayed for few minutes), and if you want to bask yourself with the colourful houses of the fishermen, fabrics, and other artistic finds, then we would definitely tell you to not miss Burano on your next trip to Venice!
How to go to Murano and Burano
From Fondamente Novo: Take the line 12 ACTV waterbus that will take you to Murano, this is the easiest route.; fare is 15€
From Piazza San Marco: This was the route we took, but forgive us for forgetting everything, but as we remember the route that you must take is from S. Zaccaria ride the ACTV waterbus and that will go straight to Murano already; fare is 15€
From Murano to Burano: Ride the waterbus that will go straight to Burano, there is only one line for that so you won’t really get lost; fare is 8€
*Another option is to ride the watertaxi, also note is to check their timetable for you to plan everything smoothly. Check it here
