As I told before, the winter was cold and brutal in here, but now we are finally saying goodbye to the freezing weather that made us want to curl up in bed for the rest of the day. In the last peaks that we still had–a couple of weeks back–we decided to go to the city’s winter fair and have some last taste of the snow season. It was beautiful and simply breathes nostalgic memories as we played in the lunaparks and shooting stands or tossed with rings around the Coca Cola bottles. Fairs like this is indeed a fun way to tell ourselves that all of us are just humans who also need to relax and fall in love with entertainment that helps us be alive.
After that almost perfect night we said goodbye to the cold and from there on it started to become a little warmer and warmer, like spring was just around the corner.
Yesterday it hit the 21 degrees Celsius in town and people were already going crazy for barbecue and drinks outside their homes and cafés’ terrace. Of course it lasted only for a short period of time because the next day it was colder again and now everyone is waiting for the warmth to touch their skin. It is amazing how things could change instantly and that is why I’m always in awe of the changing of seasons, even though it is already scary that it’s consistently not being normal anymore due to the climate change that the world gives us. Seasons for me represent hope that things could be better or at least that is how a lot tell themselves to keep moving.
So I guess, for now as we turned the page and stepped into the next season, let us hope for it to be wonderful and enjoyable for everyone. I will miss the snow, but then again looking forward to the warmer days isn't half that bad either.
Winter, I’ll see you soon, for now the colours that were once grey are alive in this side of the world once more.
